I told them while it was happening.&#xD;
&#xD;
"Oh, wow, I gotta go outside. I'm allergic to whatever you're wearing, is that lotion? Oh perfume? Well it's making me sick. It's me, I'm sensitive to chemicals. I'll be back."&#xD;
&#xD;
Now they know and don't give me lotions as gifts... etc.&#xD;
&#xD;

    <summary type="html">My auntie has had multiple chemical senitivies for years now sometimes when she reacts to a certian odors her legs go rubbery and  she looks like she p*ss drunk when she walks also she talks funny like she has laringitis this happens for 10-20 minutes or more untill the odor is long gone.  She now has to carry and Epipen with her at all time because her symptoms are almost like  Anaphylactic Shock! &#xD;
I know many people that are bothered by purfumes,molds(airborne), chemical odors like cigarette smoke or paints etcc....&#xD;
It seems to be getting worse more and more people are getting ill by fumes..&#xD;
&#xD;
Iv'e had dizziness a couple of times just walking into buildings with certian odors I don't know what odor it is but it affects me too. &#xD;
&#xD;
I also hate Axe spray my brother used to use it before he went to work at 5 am and I would wake up with a pounding headache a few minutes after he sprayed it! Nasty crap!</summary>

    <summary type="html">I think this is happening more and more----people are reacting.  And because of this others are willing to oblige. I was very appreciative when my Yoga instructor&#xD;
asked that everyone refrain from wearing fragrances. Sometimes though others don't realize they have it on----via hand lotion, etc.&#xD;
&#xD;
Most are reasonable, but sometimes they aren't as they take it personal or something, as if they stink. Haaaaa~! AND that's far from the problem, they might smell very nice if indeed you didn't react.</summary>

    <summary type="html">I'm lucky in that folks at my work know that perfumes/colognes bother me and don't wear them.  (Well, one attorney does on occasion, but she's rarely around and when she is she's not here long.)&#xD;
&#xD;
Unfortunately, at the last office I worked in, the receptionist wore this really stronly-scented hand lotion and was a total bitch when I asked her (nicely) to please not use it at work.  I don't remember how it was resolved, but I think she stopped because it bothered other people in the office as well.</summary>

    <summary type="html">At my workplace, It is policy not to wear ANY perfumes or essential oils as a courtesy to people who may be allergic. Perhaps it's an issue that can be addressed with your Human Resources Department and with a little action, written into company policy.</summary>

    <summary type="html">I understand completely!  Just keep fussing!  I FINALLY got an office with a window that opens which has help me but hasn't made me many friends! &#xD;

Right now -- I got a note on my desk from this girl who sets my allergies into orbit  AND SHE KNOWS IT but continues to wear it STRONGLY.  She wants me to come over and help her with an Excel (software) problem.  I called her up and ask if she was wearing perfume and she said yes and I said "Well Sherry -- when you come to work without it -- call me and I'll be glad to help you".  &#xD;
