Patanol has worked for me...so has Visine. The only thing I don't like about Patanol is that it sometimes gives me headaches.

Patanol is what my eye doc reccommended but he said that Kaiser doesn't cover it. He also had me try Zatidor which Kaiser charged me a $30 co-pay. It helped, but $30 for a little tiny bottle! ouch!!!

What are the headaches about? That's a little freaky.

I use the natural tears every day whenever my eyes are dry or slightly red. I do have Pantanol, but only because I get an occasional really red eye. If you just keep the natural tears handy (they sell it at the Dollar General Stores here in PA) then you really don't need an expensive eye prescription medicine that much.

Sorry for the late response...I haven't been on this tribe much lately. I don't know what the connection with headaches is, but it looks like it's not all that rare -- the prescribing information says that headaches have been reported at an incidence of 7%. I get headaches fairly often to begin with (sinuses), so I'm not that surprised that I get them from Patanol.
